I mentioned in the Snakes post that I keep my D&D figures organized by type, generally, and while I still think of kobolds as dog-like rather than dragon-like, I have my lizardmen and kobolds and kindred folk all in one tackle box. (Not pictured: a few WotC pre-painted minis and four Grenadier kobolds on my painting table).Kobolds: four Heritage Models dungeon dwellers (rear) and a bunch of Citadel Skinks in front. The Skinks are much more lizardy than I picture Kobolds being but I wasn’t going to use them for anything else (they came with a bag of other loose minis I bought from Titan Games at Origins).
The casualty was supposed to be pushing or climbing something, I guess, and who knows what the guy I gave a javelin to was supposed to be doing…
Six Lizardmen. The back row are three MageKnight figures, re-painted, and probably originally Ral Partha sculpts. The front row are the three Grenadier Models lizardmen.
Three Grenadier Dragonmen. I painted these guys with practically no shading and used white instead of metal for some reason I no longer remember. Obviously this was part of my “put blood on every weapon” phase.
A Salmanewt, or something like that, by Grenadier Models. I think the closest D&D equivalent would be the Firenewts from Fiend folio ?
Four Troglodytes ( a Citadel plastic lizard man and three Grenadier AD&D lizard men).
