Saturday Nov. 12 — (inter)National Gaming Day

National Gaming Day @ your library

Yeah, it’s National Gaming Day @ your library this Saturday. Your local library may be participating, if you are in the US, as well as several other countries, including one library in Pakistan!  More info here.

My local library is not signed up but some branches of the libary I work for are, so that’s something.

  1. That is a bummer that your location isn’t participating Mike. You need to push your weight around this week and get them signed up. LOL

I currently have plans for some Malifaux this Saturday but that will more than likely just be at my place and not the Library. Those games usually aren’t very quiet so might not be Library appropriate. Kind of like our D&D sessions at your place. Some times we get so loud in your house I wonder how we don’t keep the neighborhood awake let alone your little one trying to sleep. LOL

  2. This is pretty cool.

Sadly, of the libraries near me that show on the map as having National Gaming Day events, only one has it on their events page.

Now i feel compelled to play something on Saturday even if it’s at home.

  3. Philly’s libraries are like crypts, but this is definitely something to promote for next year.

  4. Ours isn’t doing it, mostly because we’re in the middle of a major move, but it’s something that we’ve talked about doing “in the future” ever since a library conference presentation a year or two ago. Maybe someday.
