Dyson’s dodecahedron

So back when I discovered the whole RPG blog thing a few years back one of the ones I started reading was “A character for every game” — which had the neat conceit of rolling up & posting a character for every RPG.  I’m not sure it was the first of Dyson’s blogs, but I think it might have been.  After a while though it was eclipsed by his more general RPG blog “Dyson’s Dodecahedron” which hosts a pdf zine and metric shitload of maps.  Free maps, and often adventures or adventure seeds to go with them, as well as the sorts of things many bloggers do (asking questions/soliciting advice, sharing cool links or ideas, and house rules).  How can you not love a blog that has the gibbering mouther as PC class?

Anyway what I’m trying to say is that Dyson is pretty cool and between the geomorphs, maps, zines, and adventures has given a lot to the OSR community.  He is also selling some of his work — a book of maps & adventures, and a book of optional rules for spellcasters in OSR type games.  You should absolutely go take a gander.

If you follow the links you will notice that he’s actually asking for people to spread the word about his stuff and I assume he’d like to sell some copies of his books.  But I would have posted this even if he was not giving away stuff as an incentive.  He’s stopped by here a few times and said some nice things, and moreover I have used a number of his maps when I needed a quick map in my own campaign.
