Mythology games

This page will just show off pictures of the mythology sets.

Here is a picture of a complete set:

The three scenarios, which would be playable with the original rules, are posted as pdfs on, but here they are as the original word .docs:

Tomb of the forgotten pharaoh

Hall of the Frost giant

Hall of the Giant

Ruins of Minos

They do make some references to the Dungeon Delvers! rules, though, which are both on Scribd and on my “Rules” page.

The maps (both halls use the same map) are here:

The maps need a little bit of touching up at the joints, though.  A full-size print would be 15×20″ (giving 1″ squares) but they could also be scaled to an 11×18 sheet (taking up about 11×15) and would then be almost exactly the size of the original Caverns of Doom map, with squares around 1/2″ or 3/4″.

Some shots of the figures, in-process.  Some of the Egyptian (left) and Greeks (right).

And some more Greeks, and Norse.

greekandnorseAnd the guys who weren’t quite done when I was taking pictures:

inprocessAnd a close-up of one of the characters — The Norse wizard. He is one of the very few conversions.  I decided that for maximum durability, I wouldn’t “add” anything to any of the figures.  All the conversions are “reductive.”  The wizard is just a hero type with his spear clipped and his armor painted as clothing.  This picture clearly has too much flash and looks washed out.  I’ll replace it later.

norsewizardAnd finally a few Egyptians:
