This page is to show off the figures I’m using in the various games. Many are actual Heritage Dungeon Dwellers; others are just proxies or similarly classic figures (Andy Chernack’s old Grenadier lines fit particularly well with Heritage, but some Ral Partha, Citadel, and even toys will be here too.)
Update: I’m too lazy to update the static pages very often, but I do tag obsessively, so just check my tag cloud for Heritage Models, Grenadier etc. for pics of figures by those manufacturers!
The Troll and Sorcerer from CoS. The Dwarf is Heritage but sadly my orignal dwarf is MIA. The zombie is Grenadier. All were recently repainted by me.
The fighter from CoS (or is it the knight from CoD? — both sets used the same guy)
I should have a second one of these but I guess he’s MIA too.
And here is the repainted hobgoblin. He is not a Heritage models figure (I don’t think my brother’s CoD set came with the hobgoblin but we did get two demons). I remember I bought this guy some time around 1984-1987 in Kansas at the shop called the King’s Crown, which also sold lots and lots of wargaming stuff I wasn’t interested in at the time. It was called a Mon-ogre but I can’t recall the manufacturer.
Update: thanks to someone over at The Miniatures Page, I’ve identified this figure as one made for Standard Games, a company that produced a few wargames back in the day. It is in fact a “Mon Ogre” which I guess is a way to say “orc” without risking any copyright/trademark infringements? TSR was pretty litigious in its day.
